In
just a few weeks for the debut of the new AMD Athlon and Sempron SoC
"Kabini-DT" for desktop socket AM1, which will arrive sometime in March
this year.
Although
the price will these new economic and highly integrated microprocessors
from AMD, which up to 4 cores Jaguar controller DDR3-1600 memory, AMD
Radeon GPU is still unknown R3 200 Series "Graphics Core Next 1.0" with
128 shader processors and Bolton-LP chipset, all in a single chip with a
consumption of between 9 and 25W.
While
Kabini-DT has not yet been released, we know that AMD is already
working on its successor, whose name Beema-DT, code SoC consists of:
4 core x86-based micro-architecture low power Puma.
AMD Radeon R3 300 Series "Graphics Core Next 2.0" with 192 shader processors.
Up to 2MB of cache second level (L2).
DDR3/DDR3L-1866/1600 memory controller.
TrueAudio Unit (PS4/XB1 quality sound effects).
Security AMD Processor (ARM Cortex-A5).
Integrated chipset (code name still unknown).
TDP between 10 and 25W.
Compatible with AMD API Mantle and HSA.
Compatible with socket stem AM1 (FS1b) cards.
Your
CPU and GPU new architectures allow Beema-DT offers performance per
watt than double at Kabini-DT, even even though both are made SoC
manufacturing process at TSMC 28nm.
Beema-DT
will be released between July and December this year, but will first
Chinese market, possibly reaching the rest of the world later this year
(October-December) or early next year (January-March) .
